John Baker (Board Member, Secretary)

John Baker grew up in Leadville and graduated from Lake County High School in 1998. He found a deep love for vocal music at a young age and has been singing his whole life including two years with the Colorado All State Choir. After graduating, he joined the United States Marine Corps and spent the next 20 years serving around the globe. During that time he graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelors of Science in Computer and Information Science, while singing with various local groups and filling countless evening hours playing one of his treasured guitars. Also during that time, he attended his first Broadway show, Wicked, and fell in love. Many shows later, the theater still has his heart. After two decades in the military, John retired and returned to his beloved home in the mountains of Leadville, bringing along his wife, Ashleigh, three boys, and a passion for local music and live theater.
